Our Goals
We are working toward ending the electrocutions in the TJ pound and offer the resources needed for the humane treatment of the dogs which are brought to the pound. Currently a portion of our resources are dedicated to ceasing the use of electrocution as a means of "euthanizing" the unwanted dogs in Tijuana. We provide the euthanol and our trained volunteers and veterinarian technicians to offer a gentle passing for the dogs which would otherwise suffer the inhumane use of electrocution. We are seeking the funding to continue our work and provide the resources for a humane passing for the dogs of the TJ pound each and every day.

Spaying and neutering is the most effective way to end the senseless suffering due to pet overpopulation. By altering even one pet in Tijuana we are stopping the suffering of thousands of homeless pets which would otherwise live only long enough to experience the harsh realities of the street, and sadly to reproduce and continue the cycle of suffering.
UHA holds a (free to the public) spay and neuter clinic in conjunction with the Humane Society de Tijuana each month in Tijuana. Together we have spay/neutered well over 1,000 pets. We offer hand outs educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering and information on how to properly care for their pets. We are working towards raising the funding to expand our clinics.

Develop a larger network of foster homes and the infrastructure to support the foster homes in order to aid with our rescue work
