United Hope for Animals - With Your Help There is Hope

Bonnie

In July 2004, our family had the opportunity to adopt a rescued puppy through United Hope for Animals. I inquired about an ad for a small dog in the newspaper and learned of United Hope and the efforts of the organization to rescue dogs and adopt them out to good homes. We went out to see the litter of pups, then about 6 weeks old, and saw the most adorable little group of playful balls of fur and energy. The little girl was the pup available and we just loved her from first sight. Our son named her Bonnie because she is a beautiful girl with golden fur. She was and is feisty, a talker, and playful. She is very affectionate, social and loves attention!

Bonnie quickly became an integral part of the family. Our two cats have benefited from her playfulness. They have lost a couple of pounds a piece, toned up, and have a more interesting life. They are quite an entertaining bunch. Our son really enjoys the companionship and Bonnie knows that he is her boy. In the morning she goes in his room to wake him up. She jumps on the bed and talks to him and tugs the covers off. She doesn't give up until he gets up. She is a custom alarm clack and he gets up laughing with puppy kisses. We know we have a good dog with an endearing personality. She is a good match for our family and we feel fortunate that a simple phone call led to Bonnie!
